Let’s Talk Breakups

July 28, 2011

Okay, so – people are breaking up and a home wrecker is PG – let’s talk about.

First off, Lee Dewyse is engaged.  Te 2010 winner of American Idol, the  singer, 25, is engaged to model/actress Jonna Walsh, he tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Breakups:  Jessie and Kat VonD – just after she got a tatoo of her exfiance – rumor he was cheating on her, what else is new?  Of course, the official story is the commute between her show taping in Chitown and his living in Austin, TX is the reason.

Pregnancy rumors are “floating” around Fantasia Barrino again thanks to new paparazzi photos of the singer frolicking in Barbados with married boyfriend Antwaun Cook, whose own marriage disintegrated last year in the wake of his headline-making affair with the “American Idol” star.  The blogosphere swears ‘Tasia’s sporting more than just a “baby bump” in the photos, as the lovers sunbathed and snorkeled on the beach.  Dang, has Tas gotten big!

Let’s Chat????

Eat This, Don’t Eat That, No Wait, You Can Eat This

July 13, 2011

Confused?  Me too.  First you cannot eat something it’s bad for you.  Then, low and behold, it’s okay to eat a little of that, but leave off this stuff.  What are you to do?  And you think by chosing more veggies, you’re doing better.   Some vegetables even get into the act – now!  If the economy isn’t grim enough for you, just check out the February issue of the Journal of HortScience, which contains a report on the sorry state of American fruits and veggies. Apparently produce in the U.S. not only tastes worse than it did in your grandparents’ days, it also contains fewer nutrients — at least according to Donald R. Davis, a former research associate with the Biochemical Institute at the University of Texas, Austin. Davis claims the average vegetable found in today’s supermarket is anywhere from 5% to 40% lower in minerals (including magnesium, iron, calcium and zinc) than those harvested just 50 years ago.

And if you are wondering about how much pesticide is in your veggies you buy,  a full ranking of 53 vegetables and fruits, along with the Dirty Dozen and Clean 15, are available on the EWG website. You can also glance at the lists below:  (healthland.com)

The Party’s Over

June 13, 2011

Turn out the lights, the party’s over, they say that all good things must end, call it a run, the party’s over – and tomorrow will start the same ole thing again!

Have we reached the end?  I think so.  It’s been fun, laughs, tears, and good times.  We started as strangers, on a strange blog, and became life long friends.   I hope we will always talk through e-mails, facebook, wherever.   I’ve enjoyed doing posts, looking for things to write about, pictures, but unless ya’ll disagree, I think we’ve come to the crossroads.  My deep affection to all!  You will always be in my heart – and hopefully keeping me up-to-date on your adventures, always.  One chapter closes – but there is always another one waiting to be written (Jexiee – hint hint – looking forward to reading your first book).   For the record:  I have published 272 post to this site!  Amazing.
